I love finding new places to eat that are delicious and affordable. Follow The Leader in Ripponlea was definitely that! So many times I got to cafes and I don't like a lot of what is on the menu because I'm such a fussy eater, but today I literally couldn't decide what to have. I went with Fran from Then Lets Begin to have a chat about a project we're working on (more details in the coming months).

Here it is! My new work clothing! I've always found shopping for work clothing so difficult because it's always made for girls who are size 8. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to wear pencil skirts and tuck my shirts in, but the reality is it looks terrible on me.

Recently I went on a little shopping spree to Target for new work clothes. I am going to upload a post on what I bought and how much it all was etc, but I thought I'd just share my shopping experience with you all first. There was so much to choose from and I found myself going into the change rooms with 10 items at a time. I tried on anything that I thought could vaguely look okay but made my decision based on what I could wear it with at home and what I didn't already own. So here are some pictures of me having a bit too much fun...

There's only one place you can go to get up close and personal with Australia's native animals and that's Healesville Sanctuary. It was always one of my favourite places to go as a kid and so I decided it would be a great place to take my UK blogger friend Fran. Fran's blog is Then Lets Begin, you can follow all her Aussie adventures there! If you love cute animals and discovering the wonders of Australia, read on. One of our first encounters was one of Australia's iconic animals, the Koala. Of course they were all snuggled on their trees but they are still ridiculously cute.

So when I went to Harbour Town the other day, I tried on this dress and loved the skirt and the colour, but the top was a bit small. I decided to buy it anyway with the intention of covering up the top anytime I wore it. So I found three different ways I can wear it.

Today my friend and I decided to go impromptu shopping on her day off work, but because it was such a perfect day, we HAD to be outside. So we decided to go to arguably one of Melbourne's most underrated shopping areas, Harbour Town. Harbour Town is pretty much where the last pieces of clothing they couldn't sell in the sales go to be sold at ridiculously cheap prices. Now don't get me wrong, this does not mean everything is crap, although there is a fair bit of it to sift through in order to get to the good stuff. But there is good stuff.

If you haven't read Part 1 of my little road trip, click here before you read this.
After Rosebud, we headed over to Rye to go for a stroll down the shops and down the pier. One of my favourite places is right at the end of the pier. You feel like you're so far out to sea but you're really not. Of course it's tourist season right now so it's not the most secluded place, but it's a great place to sit and watch the sunset.

When I was younger, my dad and I used to take to the road and explore Australia, but we hadn't been adventuring for a while. We decided it might be fun to go on a day trip down the Mornington Peninsula to Rosebud, because of the abundance on thrift shops there. When we got down there we discovered the weekly Saturday market and thought we couldn't come all this way without having a peak.

I met up with a friend tonight that I don't think I've seen since high school. So that's about 3 years ago. She's been living in regional Victoria (crazy) and we haven't had the chance to catch up. We decided to go to the Queen Victoria Night Market but bailed fairly quickly after getting there because there were soooo many people. If you don't like crowds, do not got. I had a curry for dinner and I have to admit that it wasn't as good as last time I went. Overall I was a bit disappointed with the night market compared to some of the other times I've been.

I thought I'd get some black and white action going for
this post. Mainly because the venue we went to is awful for taking photos in.
The Hi-Fi Bar in Melbourne is one of my favourite places for live music because
you can get up close and personal, but it's terrible to take photos in. I have
a confession to make though, I'd never actually heard much of Best Coast's
music prior to seeing them. I went because my friend and I made a deal. I'd go
to Best Coast with him, and he'd come see Ben Howard with me.

I dedicate this blog post to the bogan who looked at me and said "there are so many bloody hipsters here." I have made this post as hipster as possible just for you. Also I'm not a hipster just because I like to wear flowers in my hair. Anyway, here is my final post on Summadayze after my Kimbra and Mark Ronson posts. This is everything else.

As soon as I found out Mark Ronson was on the lineup for Summadayze, I knew I had to go. I'm not normally a fan of DJ music but I absolutely adore Mark Ronson. It may be because he's a good looking British man, but he is also a phenomenally talented song writer, mixer and producer. I was first drawn to his music because he always has a healthy dose of brass and horns in it and slowly but surely he became one of my favourite artists.

There's nothing better than getting free tickets to pretty much anything, but especially music festivals. Summadayze has never been a festival that I've particularly wanted to go to, but you can't turn down free tickets. The line up was okay in that Kimbra and Mark Ronson were playing. Although I hadn't heard of pretty much everyone else on the line up.
