Naughty Boy

January 4, 2016

There's a pretty obvious reason these are called Insta Shakes. It really is very hard not to Instagram these bad boys when they're presented to you.

Three Track Espresso

January 4, 2015

I'm starting 2015 off with a bowl of deliciousness! Firstly I have to quickly apologise for the lack of posts over the past couple of months. I've been a little uninspired when it came to this blog. However I'm back now and ready to take on 2015!

Glass Merchants

November 4, 2014

The best places are the ones you stumble upon completely by accident. I was drawn to the exterior of Glass Merchants by of the amazing street art, but ended up staying for the incredible interior!

Birthday Lunch at Ponyfish Island

September 22, 2014

If there's one place in Melbourne that I've been dying to go to but never have, it's Ponyfish Island. Located literally on the Yarra River under the Southbank Footbridge, this bar has got to be one of the most unique watering holes in Melbourne.

Chuckle Park

May 4, 2014

Who doesn't love a good hipster cafe? They always look amazing and have the best food! Chuckle Park, in the Melbourne CBD, is easily one of the best hipster cafes in this fine city. Before this visit, I'd only had drinks here, but I kept seeing a Pulled Pork and Coleslaw salad burger on the menu which sounded pretty much like the best thing ever! So of course, on this visit, where I actually got the sit down and have a meal, I got this incredible looking and tasting melt-in-your-mouth burger.

Alice Nivens

November 8, 2013

It's no secret that I'm a bit in love with Alice In Wonderland, and I've been itching to go to this tea party themed cafe in Melbourne for months! It's kind of impossible to turn down delicious cake when it's telling you to eat it. Alice Nivens is tucked away down an arcade almost opposite Flinders Street Station. It's a tiny little hole in the wall cafe with some of the most scrumptious cakes I've ever eaten!

ISIT Cafe | Prahran

July 13, 2013

You know when you find a cafe that actively encourages breakfast drinking that you've hit the jackpot. Bloody Mary, Champagne cocktail or Espresso Martini with your eggs miss? Um - yes please! ISIT Cafe is in an adorable little eatery in Prahran in a little done-up townhouse. It feels a little bit like a gallery with artwork lining the walls and beautiful wooden floors and furniture.

Knock Knock

April 21, 2013

Guess what guys?! I found another new cafe! I really need to stop buying food so often, but seriously, this one is great. I was going to lunch with my friend and we just happen to pass this cafe on the way to the one I'd planned to go to. As you can see by the pictures, it was kind of difficult to walk past. With it's adorable shabby-chic decor Knock Knock really did make me feel like I was at a tea party in Alice In Wonderland. And we all know how I feel about Alice In Wonderland (❤). On each table is a little teacup of free lollies, which I ate quite a few of, and there are little beach box type hidey-holes for you to have a more intimate meal.

The Hardware Sociéte

March 13, 2013

I really need to stop going out to lunch until I have a job, or some sort of steady stream of income. I just can't help myself. I love the cafes in Melbourne. I have to make a confession though, I actually wrote this blog post about a month ago and never had time to publish it, so it's being published now. I met up with some friends and we went to The Hardware Societe cafe for lunch. This cafe has been on the Urbanspoon Melbourne top 10 Talk Of The Town list for a while now so I was expecting good things.

Follow The Leader

January 29, 2013

I love finding new places to eat that are delicious and affordable. Follow The Leader in Ripponlea was definitely that! So many times I got to cafes and I don't like a lot of what is on the menu because I'm such a fussy eater, but today I literally couldn't decide what to have. I went with Fran from Then Lets Begin to have a chat about a project we're working on (more details in the coming months).

The Boatbuilders Yard

December 26, 2012

Happy Boxing Day. I've been up since 3.50am because I had to be at work at 5am. It's now about 3:00pm and I feel like I've been awake for a million hours. I managed to get about 6 hours sleep last night so I'm not too tired... yet. I finished work at 10am and decided since I was already amongst the madness of the Boxing Day sales, I may as well stick around.

Lunch with Then Lets Begin

November 27, 2012

When I started blogging I never imagined that I would meet new people through it. A couple of months ago Frances from Then Lets Begin and I started following each others blogs and now she's in Melbourne! We met at the iconic Federation Square and headed to Degraves Street for a yummy and very filling lunch. After that I took her on a bit of a shopping tour of Melbourne through the laneways and arcades all the way up to Melbourne Central.

Cafe Giraffe

October 29, 2012

Today I thought I'd share with you one of my most frequented cafes in Melbourne, the Giraffe Cafe. Or Cafe Giraffe. I'm not entirely sure which way is correct. Cafe Giraffe is an adorable and homely little cafe on Little Lonsdale Street between Elizabeth Street and Queen Street. I particularly like this cafe because it is fairly cheap (most meals are $10 or under) and the serving sizes wont make you obese.

Shadows Of Envy

August 8, 2012

If you like good food, art, fashion, film, live music, design or alcohol (or all of the above), pay close attention. Shadows Of Envy are a brand spanking new venue in Melbourne which offer everything I previously mentioned. As well as being a scrumptious cafe and bar, they have an extremely versatile space which is available to creative minds to showcase their work on a platform rarely offered, but desperately needed.
