Alice Nivens

November 8, 2013

It's no secret that I'm a bit in love with Alice In Wonderland, and I've been itching to go to this tea party themed cafe in Melbourne for months! It's kind of impossible to turn down delicious cake when it's telling you to eat it. Alice Nivens is tucked away down an arcade almost opposite Flinders Street Station. It's a tiny little hole in the wall cafe with some of the most scrumptious cakes I've ever eaten!
One of my weaknesses is caramel slice, and I've got to say, I think this one is the best I've ever had! I also love that they're not too big so you can have 2 or 3 treats and not feel overly stuffed with sugar. In addition to the caramel slice, I also devoured a mini strawberry and meringue cup cake, with strawberry jam oozing from the centre. The sweet treats change all the time and Alice Nivens is very active with updating their Instagram with all their goodies!
The coffee is also perfection, but, well, in Melbourne, you wouldn't expect anything less! This is a great little place for lunch or a catch up with some coffees. Let's see if you can find it...
