You can't really get more Melbourne than a New York inspired bagel bar in an inconspicuous red brick building down a graffiti lined laneway now can you.

My Dad and I have been obsessed with Heston Blumenthal since we first laid eyes on his culinary masterpieces. We've seen almost every episode of Heston's Feasts and Heston week on Masterchef is hand-down our favourite. So for my Dad's birthday this year, it was only fitting that we dined at Dinners by Heston Blumenthal at Crown Casino.

Bagels have got to be one of my favourite foods and the bagel I devoured at Schmucks Bagels has got to be up there with one of the best I've ever had.

Queen Victoria Night Market

The Queen Victoria Night Market has become somewhat of an institution in Melbourne for not only tourists, but locals as well. Located on the outskirts of the CBD, it's the perfect place for after-work hangs or showing off this amazing city (which is what I was doing).

Mama's Buoi

It's crazy how you can live in a city for your entire life and not know an entire street exists. This is exactly what happened to me. I did not know Postal Ln was a thing and discovering it meant discovering more delicious places to eat in Melbourne.

Who said vegetarian or vegan food had to be boring. Certainly not me, and if you need convincing you obviously haven't been to St Kilda's Vegilicious.
