I met up with a friend tonight that I don't think I've seen since high school. So that's about 3 years ago. She's been living in regional Victoria (crazy) and we haven't had the chance to catch up. We decided to go to the Queen Victoria Night Market but bailed fairly quickly after getting there because there were soooo many people. If you don't like crowds, do not got. I had a curry for dinner and I have to admit that it wasn't as good as last time I went. Overall I was a bit disappointed with the night market compared to some of the other times I've been.
Alas, it was still great fun to hang out with friends and catch up on the past couple of years as well as reminisce on the mischief we got up to in high school. My best friend also came along and she was looking particularly fashionable so she had no choice but to let me take photos of her. Check out the hat she's wearing. It's a bowler hat with cat ears! I bought it for her for Christmas.
It was then ice cream o'clock, but because it was a Wednesday night, nothing was open. We eventually found a place called Cacao Green although it wasn't great. I had fro-yo with raspberry sauce which was quite tasty but my friend got a waffle and she said it was awful.
On the way back we went past Bourke Street and they still had the Christmas lights up. If there's one thing I love, it's pretty lights. Might be going on a road trip down the coast on the weekend with my dad which will be a lot of fun, and a welcome break.

Beautiful lights and the food made my stomach growl!
