Road Trip to Rye: Part 2

January 14, 2013

If you haven't read Part 1 of my little road trip, click here before you read this.
After Rosebud, we headed over to Rye to go for a stroll down the shops and down the pier. One of my favourite places is right at the end of the pier. You feel like you're so far out to sea but you're really not. Of course it's tourist season right now so it's not the most secluded place, but it's a great place to sit and watch the sunset.
When we got to the end of the pier we came across this boat, and in a weird coincidence, I realised that I'd been on it before. It's sometimes used to host parties in the Docklands, and as part of my events management course, we had a tour of it. It was strange to come across it so far from the city.
We didn't do much else in Rye, other than get ice cream at Cold Rock. I got Fererro ice cream with peanut butter and nutella mixed in. It was delicious. It was nice to get out of the city, even if it was just for a day. I need to do more things like this I think. Explore Victoria a bit more.
