And then there was one... Being back in Los Angeles meant that the tour had ended and we'd pretty much all gone our separate ways. A few of us were still staying in the same hotel in LA after the tour, but for the most part, our time together had come to an end.
I tried not to let that get me down, although it was very strange to be by myself for the first time in 2 months. I decided to go on a hop on hop off bus tour of La... but didn't really get off at any of the stops. We started at the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, drove through Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive and I jumped off at the Grove shopping complex.
I stayed in Downtown LA for 2 nights before moving to a little motel in Santa Monica. Santa Monica was so much nicer than LA. It was actually clean and very beautiful. It kind of reminded me a bit of home. I did the usual touristy things, checked out Third Street Promenade and Santa Monica Pier.
On my very last day in the United States I took a bus from Santa Monica to check out Venice Beach. It was about 37C and I couldn't shower between then and getting on the plane later that night so I only walked around for about 15 minutes before finding some ice cream to sit down with for a while.
Even though it was a beautiful day and I was in an incredible place it was very hard not to be sad that I was leaving. This trip has been the best decision of my life and the people I've met along the way are like family now. I've seen so much and there's so many places I'll probably never see again, but just as many that I need to go back to. #NoRegrets right?
