Birthday Celebrations in Chicago!

So I've found the secret to not caring about getting older. Spend it in an amazing new city... like Chicago! No visit to Chicago is complete without an architectural boat cruise, so that's how we began my birthday.

I couldn't believe how breathtaking the city was. The buildings were incredible and so different, Chicago was definitely my favourite city we visited (did help that it was my birthday). Chicago is the birthplace of the skyscraper so of course they were going to be spectacular.

One of my other loves is ferris wheels, so after the boat cruise, we headed into Navy Pier and jumped on the ferris wheel for an even more spectacular view of this amazing city. We had a look around the shops for a while (great place for souvenirs) and decided it was time to spend the rest of the day shopping.

On our walk home from the Magnificent Mile shops, we stopped by Cloud Gate, or the Bean as most people know it. That night we went to the baseball, although a few of us didn't last very long before we got a bit bored so decided to go stuff our face with fried chicken and ice cream topped cookies. It was my birthday after all :P
