Grand Canyon

The next stop on our adventure was the mighty Grand Canyon. You really can't fathom exactly how enormous it is until you're standing right on the edge.

We only spent one day here, but we jam packed it with adventures. We started the day at 5am to watch the magnificent sunrise over the Canyon. It was a really beautiful morning and a great way to bond with some of the people on the trip.

We then left the edge of the Canyon to head over to a helicopter ride over it. I'm not the best with heights or flying, but I knew if I didn't do this I'd really regret it. When flying over the Canyon, it's hard to imagine that a river formed what we were currently looking down on.

There was plenty of wildlife to spot as well. From squirrels, deers and bunnies to, if you were lucky, mountain cats and Californian Condors. Unfortunately I wasn't lucky enough to see the last two :( We ended the day watching the sunset and having a picnic on the rim of the Canyon.
