Brisbane Photo Diary | Exploring West End

January 15, 2015

One of the coolest places I explored in Brisbane has got to be the suburb of West End. It's full of bohemian clothing boutiques and laid-back eateries, wandering around the streets was a delight.
The first store I fell in love with was Verge Girl, located on the main road of Boundary Street. This little boutique stocks some great Aussie designers including Her Pony. Very Byron Bay.
Next up on our little shopping trail is Box Vintage, located just off the main road on Vulture Street. Box Vintage stocks a huge range of awesome retro and vintage clothing as well as items from local artists. Well worth checking out if you want a unique item with a totally 90s vibe.
The Happy Cabin has got to be the cutest shop on the block with bunting on the walls and woodland creatures looking out for you wherever you go. You can definitely fuel all your hipster needs and desires here, so scurry on over!
For lunch we popped into Cafe Wrapture for a delicious chicken wrap. With it's zen and hippie feel, relaxing under the frangipani trees and munching on some lunch was a welcome break from exploring out in the sun. I had a satay chicken wrap called the Bali and it was amazing. It's hard to go wrong with satay sauce!

Lastly on our West End tour we stopped in at the Boundary Street Markets just as they were opening to have a little look around. There were some seriously cool vintage clothing stores and gorgeous (and somewhat cheap) homewares boutiques too. As well as the many delicious-looking food trucks lining the surrounding laneways.
If you're looking for somewhere to escape the hustle and bustle of the Brisbane CBD and South Bank, West End is definitely your go-to place. Go for a bit of a shop, chill out with a cold drink and watch the world go by.
