A couple of weekends ago was Save Australian Live Music Day (SLAM Day) but it was inconveniently on the same day at the White Night Festival so I didn't get to go to any gigs. I made up for it though by going to see my favourite Australian band a few days later. Georgia Fair are a folk/pop due from Sydney and are set to release their second album this year. I'd be counting down the days - if I knew when it was released.
I'd seen them once before so I knew it was going to be a good show. I was also hoping to hear some new tracks and to my surprise, all they played were new tracks. I was happy and sad because I loved hearing new music, but I missed out on a bit of a sing-a-long. The gig was at the Ding Dong Lounge in Melbourne which doesn't have the best sound system and it was a bit hard to hear the boys singing, but we didn't pay much to get in so it didn't bother me too much.
If you pay attention to any of my ramblings this year, pay attention to this and listen to their music! You won't regret it. And if you do, change your taste in music.
