I was lucky enough to go along to a Spring Races party at Topshop in Chapel Street hosted by Grazia Magazine. Joined by my ever fashionable cousin, we sipped on cocktails and were shown what's in this season. Little did I know there are so many rules and guidelines for going to the races, something I don't usually do because I don't like the idea of using animals for human entertainment like that. Much like a circus.
However there was fashion involved, so I wasn't going to turn it down. The main thing I took away from the presentation was this season clashing patterns is in. Floral, animal print, venetian or any other print.
I'm wearing: Dotti Waterfloral Piping dress, Sportsgirl SS10 cape, Windsor Smith clogs (similar here), Kate Spade NY Japanese Floral Cross Body bag, family heirloom jewellery.
We had Amy Molloy and David Bonney from Grazia magazine hosting and giving us an insight into how to stand out at the races.
I loved the DJ mainly because he played Elephant by Tame Impala which is one of my favourite songs at the moment. Not that anyone else at the party would've known the song. Have to say that probably made my night.
There was also a beautiful display of flower crowns designed by celebrated Australian fashion blogger K is for Kani. I wanted all of them. I have a bit of a soft spot for anything floral. Most of my wardrobe is floral.
I also loved these adorable 'see no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil' bunnies on the display. I wanted to take them home for my room!
I also ran into fellow blogger and friend Khoa from Oh, That Boy which was a nice surprise. Thanks Topshop for letting us into your home. Until next time.
