Royal Croquet Club

January 25, 2015

My Alice In Wonderland senses are tingling. Melbourne really knows how to out-do itself, so this summer why not try your hand at croquet?

The Royal Croquet club has come to Melbourne at Birrarung Marr until Sunday 1st of Feb. No Melbourne event is ever complete without the best food money can buy, so after you've taken a swing on the croquet field, grab some dinner from some of Melbourne's finest. We were invited along to have a bit of a taste of the food on offer and let's just say we left with a bit of a food baby.
Of course the whole reason for eating dinner is so you can have dessert right? Gelato Messina have their International Soup Kitchen (fyi not actual soup) set up at the Croquet Club so this was an absolute must-eat. I had the Black Forest Brisque which has chocolate-fondant gelato, cherry jam, kirsch cream and kirsch-soaked sponge, and my friend had Faux Pho with salted-coconut sorbet, kaffir-lime marshmallow, lychee coconut cream and chilli-cashew crunch. Much yum!
The Royal Croquet Club in on until Sunday Feb 1st in Melbourne so you'd better hop to it! It's free entry too.
