So I saw Jinja Safari on Friday night and i have to say I was very impressed. From their grand entrance which featured the much controversial vuvuzela, their sound like the CD talent and adorable prayer flag decorations. The lighting was also amazing and really added something special to the ambiance.
However in saying this, I was very disappointed with the crowd who were talking so loudly you could hear it over the music, the venue at the Prince Bandroom is less than ideal anyway, and the band didn't come on stage until 10.40pm when doors opened at 8.30pm.

So I had an amazing opportunity to help set up the table theming for the Skills Victoria Awards on Friday. It was at the Poladium room at Crown Casino (google it if you dont know what it is). It was seriously huge and amazing to be part of. We had crazy chrome twisty table statues that we had to mould into abstract shapes. The whole room looked amazing.

So this week I was volunteering for the Melbourne Spring Fashion Week which was super crazy and exciting. I got to work at the fashion haul (google it) at Melbourne Central and backstage dressing models. I love City of Melbourne events because there's always so much to do and see. I managed to score free tickets to a runway show which was rudely interrupted by PETA protesters. I'll upload more photos from the fashion show when I get them from my friend.

So I'm an events management student in Melbourne, Australia and I want to show you around what I get to do. So it's winter right now and nothing good ever happens in winter but music festival season is coming up and i plan to go/work at as many as I can.
My aim in life is to move over to the UK and work for the major music festivals. Let's face it, they shit all over Australia's festivals.
Some of the events I've previously worked at include Parklife, Stereosonic, Melbourne Grand Prix, Top Gear Live, Australian Corporate Games, St Kilda Festival, Royal Melbourne Show and many more less exciting ones.
Hopefully I can get this up and running.
