When I found pictures of this little Oriental oasis on Tumblr, I knew I had to add it to my ever-growing extreme touristing to-do list. The Chinese Garden of Friendship was created in 1988 to celebrate the friendship and cooperation between the sister cities of Sydney and Guangzhou in Guangdong Province, China. As you can see, it's nestled right in the heart of the city with towering buildings all around it.
After a peaceful stroll, I headed over to the Powerhouse Museum to check out the many fashion-orientated exhibits they had on display. This included the Sydney Design displays, with one of my favourite designers Limedrop setting up shop, a beautiful lace collection and 10 years of Australian student fashion.
Aaaaaannddd... this is where my camera battery died. So the rest of the photos are kinda crappy quality because I used the photographic genius that is my smartphone.
I still had a couple of hours to spare before I went out for dinner, so I decided to check out China Town because there was a night market on. It was pretty average but I loved some of the little nick-nac shops.
And this is the last blog post for this day... finally. If you haven't read the previous two, click here and here. But don't worry! I've still got plenty more Sydney blogs to come. I can't help but take photos of EVERYTHING.
