Okay so I know this isn't really an event but I became aware of it yesterday and decided that people should know about it. This art installation at Australia On Collins, which is located on Collins Street (a given I know) between Swanston Street and Elizabeth Street. Some 350 umbrellas have been hung from wires throughout one of Melbourne's original shopping promenades by a truly unique creative consultancy and project management agency K.inc.
I recommend going and checking this out in your lunch break some time soon because I'm not sure how much longer it's going to be there. There's also a food court on the bottom level so you can get some food and enjoy the view.

Isn't it fantastic? I discovered it a couple of weeks ago. Great photos too.
