Washington D.C.

October 11, 2015

I don't think there are any countries in the world that are more patriotic than the USA, and being in Washington DC, you really feel the full force of that.
Our first night was spend wandering around the city on a guided tour looking at all the monuments. If there's one thing America loves, it's monuments. Along our journey we visited the Capitol Building, National Mall, Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and plenty of others.
We started off the second day with a visit to the White House. Of course we couldn't go inside but it was pretty cool to see. We then spent all day hiking the National Mall going into all the free museums.
My favourite place was hands down the United States Botanic Garden. It was absolutely beautiful. There's so much to see and do in Washington DC it's ridiculous. I wish I got to spend more time in Georgetown as we only had dinner there one night. Guess it'll just have to go on the to do list if I ever go back :D
