1000 Steps & Brunch In Sassafras

March 8, 2015

One of my 2015 resolutions, like most people, is to get fit but it can sometimes get monotonous and uninteresting if you're doing the same thing day in day out. So my friend and I decided to give Melbourne's 1000 Steps Kokoda Track Memorial a go.
It took us about 35-40 minutes to make it to the top. We found it to be just the right amount of difficulty and length for us not to be completely exhausted by the end. I actually wish I lived closer to it so I could go more often. I'd have to say though, if you're going on a weekend, make sure you get there early! It get's pretty busy and parking is limited.
We then headed a bit further up the mountain to Sassafras for breakfast. We stopped in at a cafe called Ripe for some bacon and eggs and a big ol' serving of coffee!
