I feel like I've been a bit of a foodie this week, which I am definitely not apologising for, because who doesn't like food?! I was ever so kindly invited along to try out a new restaurant that's just opened up in Elsternwick (about 15mins from the Melbourne CBD) called The Moor's Head. I say new, but they've been open in Thornbury for a while now and have just branched out to the southern suburbs.
We were basically given free-rein over the entire lunch and dinner menu, however neither myself or my guest are very adventurous when it comes to food, so we started off with the dip and baked house break. For mains, my friend chose a dish off the lunch menu, it was something along the lines of Persian spiced chicken.
I decided to be a bit more adventurous and went with a free range chicken minced with garlic and baharat, roquette, olives, tahini yoghurt Manoushe, or an inauthentic pizza as they like to call it. I was very pleased with my choice although couldn't quite finish it all by myself. Luckily I was allowed to take it home, three guesses what I had for dinner the following night :)
After we'd devoured our mains, we couldn't pass up the fairy floss we saw smiling at us on the menu. We were expecting it to be your standard sugary fairy floss, but it wasn't. We concluded that it tasted like German biscuits. We're not sure what was in it, but we're not complaining.
