We stepped back in time to the roaring 20s for the launch of renowned bridal hair and makeup artist Vivian Ashworth's first salon. Her place was adorned with sparkles and gold, because what's a Gatsby party without a bit of bling. The centre table held so many beautiful lipsticks, eye shadows and lip-glosses, and all cruelty free of course, and some of Melbourne's finest attended including Richard Nylon and the girls from Pybus PR.
It was great to catch up with Sophia from Everyday Like This whilst sipping very yummy Brown Brothers Prosecco and nibbling on the sweets scattered around us. I was a bit hesitant with what I was wearing because I don't really own anything Gatsby inspired but kind of made it up with a necklace for a hairpiece and $10 op shop shoes I bought for my year 12 formal a couple of years ago.
I also had the pleasure of meeting the host herself Vivian Ashworth who looked stunning in her 1920s flapper dress, and the ever stylish Melbourne fashion blogger Dasha Gold from The Trend Spotter. The night was wonderful and I have to thank my partner in crime for being the little socialite he is and joining me.
