Groovin The Moo 2012

May 15, 2012

So this is a tad late but I thought "what the hell" and decided to put it up anyway. A couple of weekends ago my friends and I road tripped up to Bendigo for Groovin The Moo. I live for music festivals and my ultimate life plan is to go to everyone single one in the world (unrealistic?).
Mother nature was both our friend and our enemy on the day because it was bloody freezing but it didn't rain, so we thank you for that.
Decided to add this photo in because this man is amazing looking *drool matt corby* but more than that, his voice is so powerful. Sometimes when I'm listening to my iPod and a song comes on that I've seen live, I can close my eyes and go back to that day but it's always a romanticised, rose-coloured glasses view of the world. 'Brother' by Matt Corby is now one of those songs.
So we met Miley Cyrus at GTM (okay it's not actually her but the resemblance is uncanny right?) and much to our surprise, she had a twin sister! who was not so willing to be exploited by over enthusiastic strangers (my friends).
Kimbra, as always, was flawless. Flawless sounding, flawless looking, flawless smelling I would imagine too. I got so excited when she played Warrior. One of my favs at the moment.
In the dark and the cold The Kaiser Chiefs finally came on stage and just like I remembered from when I saw them the first time (when I was 16) they were amazing. Half way through one of their songs Ricky Wilson decided it would be a great spectacle to have a turn on the slingshot ride that was next the stage (google if you don't know what that is) and whilst being hurtled into the air, kept on singing. Anyone who wasn't quite convinced of The Kaiser Chiefs definitely was then.
