Some genius at Scienceworks had an amazing idea to have an 18+ night of fun, so of course being the big kids we are, we went along. As soon any anyone stepped foot inside Scienceworks they were instantly turned into an 8 year old again, whether they were actually 18 or 50. Sugar high on our side and with our limited attention spans, we scurried around Scienceworks pressing every button we found and playing with anything that didn't require too much effort.

I was sent an email from Melbourne Central shopping centre which contained a few of my favourite words. These being 'shopping' 'festival' 'discounts' 'free' 'wine' and 'cupcakes.' I thought all my Christmas' had come at once! So of course I had to venture into Melbourne Central (with two of my trusty sidekicks) to see what it was all about.

Today I was lucky enough to be invited to the
Australian brand Wish's
'60s bohemian inspired winter 2012 collection preview, even though I'm not a
fashion blogger. I was joined by my partner in crime Bambi
Loves Shoes and together we ascended the many flights of stairs
to Hub Melbourne on
Bourke Street.

So today in a rush of red traffic lights and incredibly slow drivers, my friend and I headed to Westfield Southland to see Gok Wan's Style Tour. It all started off with some shameless self promotion on Westfield's behalf which we quickly tuned out of, but the atmosphere certainly changed when Gok came on stage.

Oh where to start. Last night was absolutely amazing. As per usual Florence put on an amazing show with her pitch perfect and powerful voice, her playful personality and awe-inspiring projections on an amazing Art Deco set. She spent a lot of her time being wonderful and whimsical with the occasional run around the stage. I have no idea how she managed to keep singing whilst running. She is one fit girl.

So I just got home from the Channel 7 studios where I was lucky enough to see the live performance of Florence and the Machine for tonights episode of Dancing With The Stars Australia. As per usual, she was flawless and looked amazing. Poor thing walked into a nail last night and had her foot heavily bandaged up. Get well soon Florence!
I'm looking forward to seeing how the editors put together the footage with the live footage of Dancing With The Stars and how the audience will drastically change from mostly over 40s to under 30s indie kids haha.
Here's a sneak peak preview of tonight's performance thanks to Daniel MacPherson's Instagram photo (host of Dancing With The Stars Australia and all round mega babe). Seeing Florence again tonight at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne where I'll take lots of photos! Look out for part 2!
UPDATE: here's the video

So I've just been ever so lucky to scoresies myself some free tickets to her majesty Florence and the Machine on Sunday for her TV recording on Dancing With The Stars Australia. The corespondent from DWTS was quite insistent that I find lots of people to come so it's going to be a blast of an arvo with all my friends seeing some free Florence. Will post photos next week :)
Oh, and did I mention I'm already seeing her that night?

So this is a tad late but I thought "what the hell" and decided to put it up anyway. A couple of weekends ago my friends and I road tripped up to Bendigo for Groovin The Moo. I live for music festivals and my ultimate life plan is to go to everyone single one in the world (unrealistic?).
