Should We Trust SheInside?

July 17, 2013

As far as I can tell, SheInside is one company that you want to stay far away from. This is definitely not something I would normally blog about, but I thought I should share my experience with you.

I recently ordered a dress from this website advertised as chiffon, when I received the dress, it was made out of cheap synthetic material claiming to be 100% cotton. The only part of it that was chiffon was the cape attached to it. So according to the SheInside website...

"If you are not 100% satisfied with the quality of your purchase from sheinside(dot)com, you can return or exchange your items within 30 days from the delivered date."

After reading on, I discovered you have to email them to get the return address - to which I've had no reply. You also have to pay the shipping fee back to China which can be $30-$40. I only paid about $20 for the dress.

I decided to Google search the SheInside return address, which is when I discovered the overwhelming response from other bloggers and shoppers warning not to buy from this website. There are hundreds of posts explaining their bad experiences all ending with pretty much the same conclusion. SheInside has very little customer service and most likely has no intention of refunding your item. When you email them, they completely avoid your complaint and offer discount codes to distract you.

I have also found several sources saying that their credit card information has been stolen after using this site, luckily I used PayPal.

If you want to read more stories about SheInside you can click here, or simply Google search "SheInside Scam."

Maybe I was a bit naive ordering from this site, but I know I'm never going to order from them again after reading all of this. I'm just glad I only spent $20.

Please let me know what your experiences with SheInside have been like. Were they good or bad?

  1. When I first heard about the site about a year ago it was when reading a post from another blogger showing links to everything sold on sheinside for A LOT cheaper on ebay. The exact same things.

    1. I think it's just a company of people looking to exploit anyone they possibly can. Definitely going back to ASOS now haha.

  2. Oh maan that sucks... I've never purchased at sheinside before, and now definitely never will! I'm currently having another shitty customer service problem with Choies. Never got a purchase confirmation / shipping confirmation or order number and when I contacted them I had no reply. Only on twitter did they respond (yay for social media!) but even then they just said to email them. Once they did respond, it was 'oh its been delivered already... you'll have to follow it up with the postoffice yourself now' WTF

RANTY rant rant. Thats 30$ I'll never see again.

    1. Yeah that sucks. I just google searched that site and it's been taken down. I think the moral of the story is don't buy anything that ships direct from China. They'll rip you off.

  3. I've ordered from SheInside 5 or 6 times and am pleased with all the things I got. The jacket I got last fall was worn all winter and still looks as good as new. However, I'm aware of how difficult it is to return and therefor never shops anyting worth more then I can afford to loose...
